You might think hypnosis is some mystical, magical way that someone can control your mind. That hypnosis is more associated with the supernatural than with real life.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

We’ve all experienced hypnosis many times over the years and didn’t even know it. In fact, hypnosis is a very natural state of mind.

We’ve all had highway hypnosis.

Think about the times you’ve driven down an expressway and when you reach your destination, you couldn’t remember anything about the trip. Or you are going somewhere in the car, miss your exit, and have to think about where you are going.

We’ve all experienced these events. It’s all very normal. We know how to drive so we perform those actions subconsciously. So our thoughts are free to roam where they will, putting us in a trance-like state or mild state of hypnosis.

In reality, we were daydreaming.

Daydreaming is the first level of the hypnotic trance state.

When you’re in a trance state, whether it is mild or deep, your subconscious mind is more receptive to suggestion. You can then receive positive suggestions for building confidence, relieving anxiety, weight loss, stop smoking or any other type of change you want to make.
