How Self Hypnosis Scripts and Autosuggestion Help Break Through Your Mental Blocks

Autosuggestion, or self-suggestion, is a daily statement you make to yourself to program your subsconscious mind for change.

When you use an autosuggestion script, you can say it anytime, anywhere.

The power of the autosuggestion script is that it becomes the dominating thought in your subconscious mind.

For best results, repeat your autosuggestion script at least once in the morning and once in the evening.

If you have a burning desire to fulfill your goal, your subconscious mind will work on your autosuggestion.

Your burning desire, mixed with emotion, causes your subconscious mind to act on your suggestions.

You're probably thinking, as I did, that this idea smells a little fishy!

I thought so,too. But listen to what Napoleon Hill, in "Think and Grow Rich" has to say,

"Man may become the master of himself, and of his environment, because he has the power to influence his own subconscious mind."

It is important to use this script daily for two reasons.

  • First, you are preparing your subconscious mind to accept positive statements.

  • Second, you are reinforcing the positive statements you give yourself through self hypnosis.

  • Third, your subconscious accepts your directions without question.
  • So, you may as well program your subconscious with positive instead of negative--with your goals and desires!

    It is best to say your autosuggestion script out loud and in a calm and relaxing voice.

    Hearing your own voice repeat the affirmations is very powerful to your subconscious.

    As you say the script, physically feel yourself become relaxed and calm and visualize in your mind's eye that you have already accomplished your goals.

    How to Create Self Hypnosis Scripts for Weight Loss

    When you create autosuggestion hypnosis scripts for weight loss, you need to create new options for eating.

    For example, if you eat when you are bored, your new option would be to say:

    "When I am bored, I read a newspaper, a magazine, or a book. I call a friend, go for a bike ride, go for a walk, go to a movie."

    If you eat when you are nervous, your new option would be to say in your autosuggestion:

    "When I am nervous, I take five minutes to close my eyes and relax. I jog in place, participate in some other form of physical exercise, or work on my current favorite project or hobby."

    If you eat when you are lonely, your new suggestion would be to say:

    "When I am lonely, I telephone a friend, write a letter, run an errand for someone who needs assistance, go shopping, or interact with my neighbor who needs company."

    If you treat yourself to a snack or meal whenever you need a change in activity, say:

    "If I am engaged in a sedentary activity, such as sitting at my desk, I change to one which is mobile, such as walking around the office."

    The beauty of creating your own self hypnosis scripts is that you are planting suggestions into your subconscious mind that are yours and no one else's.

    The self hypnosis scripts and autosuggestion scripts I've included are guidelines and can and should be modified according to your own personal needs if necessary.
